Chamber Music Concerts
A series offering intimate concerts with the professional musicians of the Garden State Philharmonic. Each performance will highlight members in solo, duet, or small ensemble settings, offering a unique and exciting opportunity to listen to great music in an intimate space.
School-Time Concerts
The Garden State Philharmonic Professional Orchestra regularly performs concerts during the school day for Elementary and Middle School students. Concerts are often followed by a question and answer session from the stage with the Conductor Diane Wittry, and guest soloists.
Free Community Concerts
Each year, the GSP partners with the Ocean County Parks and Recreation Department to present a free “American Celebrations” Concert around the July 4th Holiday featuring the GSP professional orchestra and the GSP Community Chorus. Held yearly for the last 60 years on the steps of the Ocean County Library in downtown Toms River, this is an event that brings together people of all ages and backgrounds.
Open Rehearsals
The Garden State Philharmonic professional orchestra rehearses regularly at the Woodland Center in Maplewood, NJ. These rehearsals are open to the public and attended by people of all ages. Open rehearsals also take place at Winchester Gardens, a retirement community in Maplewood, NJ
Other Performances
The GSP features additional performances throughout the year including the annual “Messiah” concert by the Garden State Philharmonic Chorus at St. Joseph’s Church in Toms River, and the Fall and Spring Concerts of the GSP Youth Orchestra Program, at the Grunin Center for the Arts at Ocean County College. Additional free concerts are performed regularly at the Ocean County Mall by both the GSP Chorus and the GSP Youth Orchestras. In addition, musicians are often featured performing at area active-life communities throughout the region.
